6 May 2001

Iftikhar HussainLimavady lost for the second day in succession when they were defeated by Fox Lodge by 3 wickets. Batting first they could only manage 148 with their new professional Iftikhar Hussain making 70 an innings which included 7 fours. Stuart Clarke had excellent figures of 3-29 while there was two wickets apiece for Michael Walker and Robert Huey. In reply Fox Lodge opener Mark Mooney made 41, but when Michael Walker fell for 21 which he made off only 13 balls with 3 fours and one six they looked to be out of it at 91 for 7. However an 8th wicket partnership of 58 between Garvin Heywood 28 not out and Robert Huey 25 not out saw them home. The best of the Limavady bowlers was Richard McDaid 3-26, and Decker Curry 2-16. This defeat leaves Limavady rooted to the bottom of the table.
