Limavady v Fox Lodge
Barry Chambers, 25 August 2001 Limavady continued their excellent league form with an 80 run win over Fox Lodge. Limavady made 227-6 in their innings with the top six all reaching double figures. Decker Curry made a 76 ball 50 which had 5 fours and 2 sixes. The real star was Mark McDaid who made 66 not out in only 28 balls, a real whirlwind of a knock. It Contained no fewer than 2 fours and 6 sixes. In reply Fox lodge were never likely to trouble the total once professional Zahid Javed went for 33. Keith Gordon made 20, and Malachy Porter an unbeaten 28 as they were eventually dismissed for 147. Victor McDaid had the excellent figures of 3-18 and spinner Iftikhar Hussain also had 3 wickets for 27 runs.
