Bonds Glen v Creevedonnell

Creevedonnell kept their title hopes alive after a thrilling one wicket win over Bonds Glen. The top five Bonds Glen batsmen all reached double figures with openers Colin McClelland making 28 and Roy Robinson 22. Leslie Curry top scored with 34 which contained 4 fours. Professional Sachin Aradhye bowled very well taking 3 wickets for 14 runs. Glen Brolly with 2 for 32 offered good support as Bonds Glen made 161 for 8 in their 40 overs. In reply Brian Dougherty opened for the first time this season and showed signs of the form of last season with a well played 33 which included 4 fours and 1 six. Aradhye top scored with 35 which included 3 fours and a six before he became one of Ian Cooke's 3 victims. After Stevie Grifffiths went for 20 it was left to the last pair of Glen Brolly and Don Dougherty who struck the winning boundary in the last over to end on 12 not out to see Creevedonnell safely home. |
