Burndennett v Killymallaght

Burndennett made it a Sunday double when they crushed Killymallaght by 176 runs. Making first use of the track they ran up a massive 286 runs with both Zahid Javed and Gerard McAuley just missing out on their hundreds.Javed made 96 which had 10 fours and 7 sixes before being bowled by Gary Mitchell. McAuley also went the aerial route striking 10 fours and 5 sixes in his innings of 90 before being bowled by David Killen. Aidan Boyle made 35 and Mark Roulston 25 as Burndennett ran amok. Ally Dunn with 4 for 31 bowled remarkably well given the destruction that was going on around him.

Killymallaght got off to a good start with their star this year Gareth McKeegan hitting 5 fours and a six in his 38. He became one of Aidan Boyle�s 5 wickets as he and Zahid Javed tore through the Killymallaght line up. Boyle finished with 5 for 27 and Javed 3 for 31 as Killymallaght made just 110. Burndennett are now just 2 points behind leaders Ardmore with a game in hand.
