Ballyspallen had a welcome win over St Johnston in a high scoring affair. The Saints made 202-5 with Alan MacBeth top scoring with 92. This included 7 fours and 2 sixes. Three players made 22, namely, Stuart Lapsley, Trevor Topping and Paddy Doherty. Ballyspallen responded magnificently reaching the total with an over to spare. Their star was John Thompson who defied a leg injury to score 67 not out, including 3 fours and 4 sixes. Ian Crown made 32 and Andrew Chapman 23. Best of the St Johnston attack was J Robinson with 2-31.
