Ardmore v North Fermanagh
12 May 2002

Ardmore put the disappointment of their cup exit behind them when they got back on track against Fermanagh at the Bleachgreen on Sunday. Making first use of the wicket Ardmore openers Kevin Martin and Iftikhar Hussain made a solid start adding 61 before Hussain on 35 skied an attempted drive and was well caught by Darren Moan off Andy Burmah. Mark Gillespie then joined Martin and they took the score to 121 before Marin was caught off the bowling of Giles Moan for a patient 46 which included two fours and a six. Paul Brolly and Gillespie then added 51 for the third wicket before Brolly was caught and bowled by Jadeep Narse. Mark Gillespie was then brilliantly caught by a running Jaddep Narse for 72 which had nine fours and a six. Gerard Brolly with 18 and Ciaran Curley 14 not out took the score to 206 for 5.

In reply Fermanagh struggled falling to 40 for 4 with Gerard Brolly taking three and Ciaran Curley one. Saturday's centurion Jadeep Narse was out for just 19. A 54 run partnership between Tommy Harpur and Giles Moan rallied Fermanagh but Gerard Porter and Mark Gillespie bowled exceptionally well to leave the run rate well beyond them. Giles Moan eventually fell for 53 which included 5 fours and a six. Gillespie took 4-23, Brolly 3-15 and Porter 2-24 as Ardmore joined Burndennett and Creevedonnell at the top of the table.
