Creevedonnell win easily at Crindle

Barry Chambers
9 May 2003

Creevedonnell made light work of what could have been a very challenging total of 183 at Crindle. They had a great start when two of their form men Andy McFaul and Steve Griffiths added 90 for the first wicket. Griffiths scored 52 which included 7 fours and a six before being bowled by Ivan McDaid. Trevor Dougherty went cheaply to the same bowler for 3 and McFaul was caught for 44(4 fours, 2 sixes) off the bowling of Paul Blackburn to leave Creevedonnell on 115 for 3. Thanks to a 69 run partnershiip between Kris Dunn, 42 not out (4 fours, 2 sixes), and Darren Patterson 32 not out (4 fours, 1 six) they got home without further alarms to go top of the table.
