Justin Bishop (Essex)

Educated at County Upper School, Bury St. Edmunds, where he gained 10 GCSEs. Played for Suffolk since Under 12 and for Essex from Under 16. Made his first class debut for Essex in 1999. Favourite cricketer is Mark Ilott and hobby is watching Ipswich Town FC. Ambition is to go as far as he can in cricket.

Rikki Clarke (Surrey)

Educated at Godalming College where he is studying for a GNVQ in Leisure and Tourism. Has represented Surrey since age Under 9 and has played for England Under 19s v Northants in 1999. His favourite cricketers are Graham Thorpe and Alex Tudor. Hobbies are cricket, football and fitness and his ambition is to play for Surrey and England.

Robert Ferley (Kent)

Educated at Sutton Valence School where he gained 10 GCSEs. Represented Norfolk since Under 12 and England at Under 15 level. Contracted to Kent. Favourite cricketer is Jonty Rhodes and hobbies are rugby, football, tennis and running. Ambition is to play for England.

Matthew Gitsham (Somerset)

Educated at Queen's College Taunton and has 7 GCSEs. Played for Somerset since Under 12 and plays for Somerset 2nd XI during college holidays. Has been coached in Australia with Terry Jenner. Favourite cricketers are Shane Warne and Darren Gough and hobbies are rugby, hockey, swimming and tennis. Ambition is to play for Somerset and England against Australia in an Ashes series.

David Holt (Middlesex)

Studying at Tanbridge House School taking GCSEs this summer. Has played for England at Under 14 and Under 15 levels and has captained Sussex at all levels since Under 13. Played for England Under 15 v India Under 15 in England in 1998. Favourite cricketer is Ian Botham. Hobbies are golf, cricket and football. Ambition is to Captain England in an Ashes series.

Played for Durham at all levels and represented England Schools at Under 14 and 15 levels scoring a century on his debut against Wales Under 15. Currently member of Durham Cricket Academy. Favourite cricketer is Graham Thorpe and hobbies include football and music. Ambition is to play for England.

John Sadler (Yorkshire)

St. Thomas á Becket school gaining 7 GCSEs. Represented Yorkshire since the age of 12 and is a member of the Yorkshire Cricket Academy. Played for England at Under 14 and 15 levels and played for England Under 19 v Northants in 1999. Favourite cricketer is Sachin Tendulkar and main hobby is football. His ambition is to play for Yorkshire and England and be successful.

Christopher Tremlett (Hampshire)

Educated at Thorndon Secondary School with 8 GCSEs and is now studying at Taunton's College in Southampton. Played for Hampshire since Under 12 and West of England at Under 13 and 15 levels. Favourite cricketer is Glenn McGrath and hobbies are basketball, volleyball and football. Ambition is to play for England.

Mark Wallace (Glamorgan)
Left Hand Bat & Wicketkeeper
Educated at Crickhowell High School, gaining 10 GCSEs. Represented Wales since Under 14 and England Under 17 and 19, touring New Zealand with the latter in January 1999. Favourite cricketers are Mark Taylor, Ian Healey and Alex Stewart. Hobbies include rugby, football and golf and ambition is to reach the highest level.

Tim Boon (Manager)
Former Leicestershire batsman, joined ECB as National Coach, South in 1997 and has managed England Under 17 and from this summer England Under 19. Aged 37, he scored nearly 12,000 runs for Leicestershire during a 15 year stint at Grace Road including 14 hundreds. Captained England Young Cricketers in the West Indies in 1980 and against India in 1981. Has played Minor Counties cricket for Norfolk.

Neil Foster (Coach)
Played for Essex taking over 900 first class wickets and represented England 28 times both home and abroad. Three years as bowling coach at Northamptonshire CCC and in 1998 was Coach for the England Under 19s v Pakistan Under 19s in England. Neil represented England Young Cricketers in 1980/81 against West Indies and India.
