Adrian
McCoubrey
Ballymena & Northern
Right Fast Medium; Right Hand Lower Order Bat
Adrian made a big impact in his debut season in senior club cricket in 1998 and has already represented his province at senior level this season. His genuine pace and aggression have been evident at the winter nets where he has practised with the senior national squad.
Dwayne
McGerrigle
Donemana & North West
Right Fast Medium; Right Hand Lower Order Bat
Already a senior international, Dwayne was Man of the Match on his debut taking five wickets in Ireland's 1st Round NatWest Trophy victory over Northumberland. As quick as any bowler in the World Cup in 1998 he has the ability to surprise even the best batsmen. His reputation as a big hitter hides the fact that he can bat anywhere, a genuine all rounder.
Alan
O'Prey
North Down & Northern
Left Hand Middle Order Bat; Right Medium
Alan has played for Ireland at all the international lower age levels, scoring a century at Under 15 level. A left-handed strokemaker who has recently begun opening the innings for his club with some success. Will probably in the middle order in this squad, but who knows? A medium pace seamer who can be hard to get away.
Keith
Spelman
Clontarf & Leinster
Left Arm Spinner; Lower Order Batsman
Keith made a big impression in the 1998 World Cup where he bowled with control and consistency. Toured England with the Ireland Development XI last season. A more than useful batsman who is technically sound and confident about his ability to score runs when needed.
Andrew
White
North Down & Northern
Right Hand Top Order Batsman; Off spin Bowler
The fourth member of the North Down Club in this squad, Andrew has the reputation of being an accomplished opening batsman. His improving offspin will also provide an alternative option to the legspinners in the squad.
Ian
Johnston
Manager
Ian has been Coach or Manager at 5 International Youth Tournaments, starting in Belfast in 1987. He has served the Irish Cricket Union in various roles as international player, selector, coach, manager and Coaching Development Officer.
Bobby
Rao
Coach
As the national team's batting coach assisting National Coach Mike Hendrick, Bobby takes charge of this squad in his own right. A former Indian Test batsman and leg-spinner who has made his home in Ireland. His influence is apparent at all levels in the national coaching structure.

Harland MCSP SRP
Physiotherapist
This is Simon's first tournament with the Irish Cricket Union. He is an associate partner in the South Belfast Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic having worked in various hospitals and clinics since qualifying in 1995. He enjoys sailing, windsurfing and rock climbing in his spare time.
