Google Earth Tour

If you have Google Earth installed on your computer then download the CWCQ Tour file to your desktop and then open it with Google Earth to visit and be taken on a tour to view and learn about the various grounds which will host the matches.

The tour requires Google Earth version 5.0 or higher to be installed on your computer - if you don't have it installed then you can download it from here.

Note to Internet Explorer browser users: Clicking the above link in an Internet Explorer browser may result in a window asking if the file needs to be opened or saved. Double-click the kml icon to load the file in Google Earth.

Note to Safari web browser users: If using the Safari browser on a Mac, clicking the above links may display random text instead of loading the kml file in Google Earth. Ctrl-click the link and choose 'Save Linked File to Desktop'. The Safari browser may add a .txt to the end of the kml file. Rename the file so that it ends in .kml. The icon then changes to Google Earth's icon, and double-clicking it will load the file in Google Earth.

  • When you have opened the file in Google Earth, look in the 'Temporary Places' list at the left of the screen and click the Play Me entry (see illustration below).
  • The tour will then start and you can use the tour control bar at the bottom of the tour window to pause and resume the tour as you wish.
  • Balloons will appear throughout the tour, giving various details about each ground.
