Aerial view of Warner Park stadium in BasseterreHere is the first image of the new Warner Park Stadium at Basseterre, St Kitts, where Scotland will play Australia, South Africa and Holland in the 2007 World Cup.

The ground has been completely reconstructed from scratch, and is already being compared with the likes of the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. Bounded on one side by a dramatic mountain landscape and on the other by views of the Caribbean ocean, Warner Park will certainly offer a very special experience for the 10,000 spectators.

The image shows the new pavilion (top right, facing), with the exclusive Press Centre to the right, in line with the pitch, while the electronic scoreboard is located to the left of the main stand.

Construction of the new stadium is already well advanced, the square and outfield complete, and will be ready by next March. Tickets go on sale in April.
