Last year Denmark undertook an agreement with the Tasmanian Cricket Association which included the possibility of Denmark sending young players to Tasmania during the winter and Tasmanian coaches working in Denmark.

Denmark�s Michael Pedersen is the first to take part in the scheme and is at present enjoying the Tasmanian hospitality and wet weather in and around The Bellerive Oval! Michael has yet to play first team cricket but that has more to do with the cancellation of matches, as Michael has had success on the 2. and 3. teams.

Michael has mentioned the pleasure of meeting players like David Boon, Michael Bevan and Daniel Marsh. But it�s not all relaxing. Michael practises 5 times a week as well as strength workouts plus he has been given the responsibility of coaching the boy�s team.

Hopefully the success of Michael�s stay will inspire more of Denmark�s younger players to play outside the country as part of their developement.
