The ICC today announced at a media conference in Jamaica the ticketing programme for the ICC World Cup 2007 which is to be held in the West Indies.
Chris Dehring, Managing Director of the event, intimated that the pricing of the tickets had been a difficult task as a balancing act had to be undertaken so that as many people as possible are able to watch the event but with the clear understanding that the a profit had to be made and all stakeholders' interests had to be protected.
The profits from the sales will go to the Local Organising Boards and will provide a legacy for West Indies cricket in the future.
Stephen Price Commercial Manager announcing the prices advised that there would be a maximum of 4 tickets per applicant per match. There are individual tickets, venue tickets or a follow a path ticket packages.
The first allocation of tickets will be made to authorised travel agents from December 2005.
