The United Arab Emirates have won the ACC Trophy for the fourth consecutive time after beating Hong Kong by five wickets in the final.
A 97 run second wicket partnership between skipper Tim Smart and Rahul Sharma got things off to a good start for Hong Kong, but no-one else was able to score big, with only two other batsman making it into double figures, and they could only muster 174/8 from their 50 overs. The target was never really a problem for the UAE, and an unbeaten 61 from Khuram Khan led them to the target in the 36th over.
For the losers there was the significant consolation of a place in next year's World Cricket League Division 3 tournament.
