1. How excited are you about playing in the ICC Americas event?

I am very excited to participate in the 2nd ICC Americas Championship and glad to see that there are two new teams playing this tournament. It is a good opportunity to prove how we are growing as a team and as individual players.

2. How do you think Argentina will do?

We are very positive. Although we are aware that we are not in the same playing level as Canada or Bermuda, we are getting better. We have a young team and yet we have time to go on working together and who knows, maybe in a couple of years we will be nearer the top level of the region. Individually, all the team has improved their skills and techniques in this last two years but maybe what we are lacking is more games to play. That is something very important as we also need to grow as a team.

3. Is the popularity of cricket rising in the Americas region?

Definitely, it is growing consistently and it has a lot of potential to go on. America is the largest region and I think that the one that has the largest difference in cricket levels. You can see teams like West Indies who are playing first level cricket against teams like England or New Zealand and at the same time, teams like Chile or Brazil who are starting to compete internationally in South America.

4. What opportunities are there for women to play the game in the region?

Apart from each country’s leagues, there are chances of touring to practice against other teams. This should be of great importance as is one of the things that make teams like us develop the game and become a better player.

The Americas Championship gives the players the opportunity of being chosen for an Americas team with elite players from other countries and play all together. Also, to participate in a high performance clinic to develop your personal skills as a player, both in and out of the field. I had the honor last year to be part of the first women s clinic, held in Trinidad & Tobago and was it a great experience.

5. Is your dream to one day see a country from the Americas region play at the ICC Women's World Cup?

As Americas region, we are already represented, and with great honor by the West Indies, but if you are asking if my dream is to see one of the other countries from the Americas region at the Women’s World Cup, I will have to say that that is not my dream, because my only dream would be to be with Argentina playing for that Cup!!!

That is something that we keep on dreaming and working hard to see if one day we can get there.
