Ashish Bagai returns as skipper playing his first Intercontinental Cup match in over 2 years while John Davison (work), Geoff Barnett (injury) and Ian Billcliff (personal) were not available for selection. Three members of Canada�s u19 team that won the ICC America�s u19 championship Skipper Rustam Bhatti, man of the series Hiral Patel and 15 year old Nitesh Kumar draw into the squad as does batsman Jimmy Hansara of British Columbia.
Coach Pubudu Dassanayake is pleased with the team and confident of his team�s chances at home against the Kenyans. ��we had a decent tour of Europe and have set a good foundation to build upon�Canada has some great young talent and we are keen to see what they can do against top associate opposition��
Following the 4 day contest, Canada and Kenya will play 3 One Day International matches at Maple Leaf Cricket Club on August 19, 21 and 23rd.
