Brigade moved into pole position in NW Senior One when they completed the easiest of wins against basement side Bonds Glen, who continue to struggle in their debut season in the top flight.
Batting first, they could only manage 61 against a Brigade attack which didn't even have to use their two Pakistani bowlers, Ifty Hussain and Ata Ur-Rehman.
Johnny Thompson (1-15) removed Roy Robinson early on, while Mark Simpson, Dale Culbert and Trevor Britton all claimed three wickets apiece.
Only Richard Hepburn with 27 reached double figures in a pretty poor batting display - extras with 10 was the second highest contributor.
Chris Dougherty (20*) and Ata-ur-Rehman (33*) ensured the traget was reached without any fuss in exactly ten overs. Rehman continues to prove the crtitics wrong with his batting prowess, and his knock included two huge sixes. He may not have much finesse, but he certainly strikes the ball powerfully and scores quickly.
In the other two Senior One matches which got under way, Limavady will be happy with their total of 230 for 9 at home to Coleraine.
Stuart Thompson top scored with 67 from 76 balls (7 fours, 1 six), sharing in a 3rd wicket stand of 111 with Adnan Akmal, who hit 48 from 47 balls ( 4 fours).
Decker Curry and Tom Riddles both made 24, while Nigel Thompson chipped in with 21.
Youngsters Rishi Chopra (2-36) and Scott Campbell (2-42) were best with the ball for Coleraine, who included Pakistan professional Mohammad Salman in their ranks for the first time this season.
The Eglinton versus Glendermott game looks evenly poised, after the villagers scored 174 in their 40 overs.
Ryan Butterworth top scored with 44, while Andy Christie scored 39. A middle order collapse saw Eglinton wobbling at 129 for 8, but Richard Stewart (24) and Simon Olphert (18*) added what could be crucial late runs.
Gordon Montgomery (3-20), Charlie Elder (2-16) and Craig Averill (2-31) were the main wicket takers for the Rectory side.
These ties conclude on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.
