It's advantage Ardmore at the top of NW Senior Two after the Bleachgreen side just about got the better of promotion rivals St Johnston at the Donegal venue in their re-arranged T20 league game.

Adrian Murphy's fine early season form continued as he hit 52 from just 39 balls, ably supported by veteran Paul Brolly who scored 45 from just 41 deliveries. Their quick scoring helped Ardmore to a more than competitive 158 for 4.

In reply Sachin Dixit made an undefeated 59, while the dangerous David McBeth hit 42, but in the end the Saints fell 14 runs short, finishing on 144 for 4.

One other Senior Two game got under way, with Burndennett making 230 for 9 against Killyclooney. Mark Doherty top scored with 88, and was well supported by Stephen McCay (44) and Dee Magee (27). For Killyclooney best with the ball were Richard McMorris (3-42), R Barr (3-43) and Mark Snodgrass (2-49).
