The Tyrone section final of the Sperrin Springs cup survived the rain on Thursday eveninhg as St Johnston booked their place in next month's Grand Final winning a thoroughly entertaining encounter against recently improved Killyclooney.
The visitors batted first and posted an impressive 196 for 3 in their 20 overs, former skipper Andrew Fleming top scoring with 76 and Sachin Dixit adding 70 as the Donegal men assumed control.
Undaunted by the imposing target Richard McMorris's side gave it a real go in reply, Sammy McElhatton making 56, Keith Gordon 37 and John Blair 27 before the hosts closed on 170 for 9 at the end of a sporting contest.
David MacBeth claimed 4 wickets, Rammohan Goud 3 and Fleming was on the mark again with 2 as the Saints now await the winners of the Derry Section final, which will see Ardmore face the winners of tonight's postponed tie between Creevedonnell and Drummond.
