It promises to be a special occasion for the McBrine family on Saturday when former Irish Senior Cup winners Donemana head to Merrion for their second round tie in this year's Bob Kerr tournament.

We've been well used to seeing Junior and James struth their stuff at this level down through the years and in more recent times Junior's sons Ritchie (21) and 18 year old Andy have also entered the fray.

After a string of impressive displays in the seconds and underage teams however the selection committee have handed starts not just to those three but included 14-year old William in the team for this week-end's trip to Dublin leaving dad a very proud man.

"It's going to be the first time all four of us have played together at any level and I'm glad that it's in such a big game. I'm delighted that I'm still playing at the top level as William comes into the side and it's definitely going to be a special day for us" said the former Ireland International.

It looks like the Donemana dynasty is set to be handed over to the new generation in the next year or two but what a tremendous feat for the family and Norma is sure to be a very proud spectator in Dublin at the weekend.
