Local cricket, and Donemana defeated Fox Lodge by 16 runs in the Faughan Valley Cup last night in a dress rehearsal of their Northern Bank Senior Cup quarter final on Saturday.
In a game reduced to 10 overs by heavy showers, Donemana posted 113 for 5, with Ricky-Lee Dougherty top scoring with 28, and professional Kamran Sajid making 22.
In reply Fox Lodge could only manage 97 for 5, despite Johnny Robinson's 42 not out - two wickets apiece for Richie and Andy McBrine.
Donemana now play Bready in the Tyrone final next Thursday.
Eglinton have reached the Derry Final by virtue of their 19 run win at home to Limavady. Richard Wylie hit 53 in their total of 140,but Limavady looked well set in reply when they were 113 for 4 - however Zimbabwean Ryan Butterworth with 4 for 24 and Johnny Gardiner who claimed 3 for 20 as they collapsed losing their last 6 wickets for just 8 runs to finish on 121 all out.
Eglinton now await the winners of the Glendermott verus Brigade clash who meet tonight (Friday) at The Rectory starting at 6:30pm.
As well as the Fox Lodge versus Donemana Cup quarter final, there are some intriguing league clashes down for decision - first meets second at Strabane Park, where leaders Strabane face Brigade, while Limavady entertain Glendemott at The John Hunter Grounds.
The Bonds Glen versus Eglinton game has been switched to Eglinton - NW fans will get their first look at the Bonds Glen professional who arrived earlier this week - he's 24 year old Sri Lankan all rounder Gihan Dilruk (full name Wijeweera Kankanamge Gihan Dilruk!) Bonds Glen will be hoping he can inspire them to their first win of the season.
On Sunday, there's one re-arranged fixture in Senior One - Brigade hosting Waterside neighbours Glendermott at Beechgrove.
There's three games in Senior Two on Saturday - leaders Ardmore travel to Burndennett, Creeevdonnell host Killyclooney and second placed St Johnston travel to The Nedd.
