Thursday night's scheduled games in the Faughan Valley and Sperrin Springs cup competitions all fell to the weather however the re-arranged 20/20 Billy Henderson Properties league match between Bonds Glen and Coleraine did go ahead and resulted in a convincing win for the visitors.

The Bannsiders have two trips to the Holm this coming weekend, the second of those in the semi final of the Northern Bank senior cup and they warmed up for those with a solid all round performance here.

Richard Hepburn top scored for the hosts with 34 and David Robinson's unbeaten 22 allowed them to post a moderate 124 for 9 in their 20 overs while Rishi Chopra was the pick of Coleraine's attack finishing with figures of 3 for 24.

Fielding without their skipper Tim Chopra, whose chances of playing against Donemana this weekend were rated as “almost zero” by a club source, Coleraine were still much too strong in reply.

Colin Hall picked up the key wickets of stand in captain Ian McGregor and David Cooke but an unbroken partnership between Mohammed Salman ans Sami Prakash worth 77, sealed the hosts' fate.

The Pakistan wicket-keeper hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in his 57 not out while Prakash staked his claim for a starting place at the weekend by keeping Salman company to the end to be unbeaten on 36.

The defeat increases Bonds Glen's woes at the foot of the table and they will be hoping that the arrival of Gihan Dilruk helps their prospects of top flight safety.
