Fox Lodge moved into joint second spot in the Billy Henderson Properties league Division 1 on Tuesday evening with a convincing 5-wicket win over senior cup finalists Bready at Ballymagorry.

The visitors had batted first on Monday night and David Rankin was again among the runs despite his side managing just 155 all out.

The big opener hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in his 48 but the only other contribution of note in an otherwise disappointing display was a late unbeaten 21 from David Scanlon. Gareth Heywood continues to impress, he claimed the first four wickets to fall and also saw Rankin dropped off his bowling whilst Darryl Brown and Johnny Robinson also put in impressive spells to finish with identical figure of 2 for 18.

The Foxes were pretty much in control of things from the outset in reply; Jason Milligan and Graeme McCarter put on an opening stand of 60 assisted by some wayward wide bowling. Brian Allen chipped in with 24 but it was a quick-fire 44 from Robinson that helped the hosts towards the win, the all-rounder smacking 6 fours and 2 sixes in his knock that takes the Foxes to 8 points, four behind leaders Strabane.

Limavady's hopes of closing the gap to 2 were thwarted by the rain as Night 1 of their 20/20 game at home to Glendermott ended with the hosts 109 for 4 with just short of 14 overs gone.

Adnan Akmal hit 5 fours on his way to a half century with Stuart Thompson unbeaten on 20 when the weather intervened. Roy Silva, Stuart Cochrane and Craig Averill all claimed a wicket apiece and the pressure is now on for the Roesiders to close the deal on Wednesday evening.

There were two re-arranged games in Division 2 as well and only 7 overs were possible at The Nedd where the home side had reached an impressive 59-0 by that stage.

Kyle Morrow was unbeaten on 40 and Adam Bond 15 as Vinny O'Hara's men set up a decent platform from which to work should the weather relent on Wednesday.

Killyclooney travelled to Sion Mills for their 20/20 game and this one went the distance with the visitors coming away with a solid win. The hosts batted first and made 120 all out with Andrew Long (30) and Andy Lucas (24) faring best of the batsmen.

Gareth Donnell (4-33), Kenny Hall (2-12) and Jordan Connor (2-15) claimed the bowling honours. Alan Colhoun and skipper Richard McMorris both made 31 in Killyclooney's reply and despite Lucas claiming 2 for 33, the visitors had 6 wickets to spare at the end.
