Coleraine look to have gained the upper hand after the first night of their Senior One clash with Brigade at Beechgrove.
They've posted an impressive 234 for 7 in their 40 overs with former Brigade player David Cooke top scoring with an unbeaten 79.
There were useful contributions from professional Mohammed Salman who made 43 and Ian McGregor who scored 39.
To make matters worse for Brigade is the fact they were penalised for their slow over rate and will only have 39 overs to chase 235 for victory when play resumes tonight at 6:30pm.
In Senior Two, St Johnston moved into joint second place in the table following a narrow 11 run win at Sion Mills.
Michael Rankin's unbeaten 48 helped the Donegal to 131 and Ian McBeth claimed 3 for 17 to restrict Sion to 120.
Ardmore still lead the table on 12 points, with Drummond, Ctreevedonnell and St Johnston all just two points behind on 10 apiece.
