Brigade have the upper hand after the first night of their midweek game at Glendermott after bowling the hosts out for 173 albeit on a slightly slow Rectory track.

Roy Silva was back in business for Gordon Montgomery's men as he hit 9 fours and a six in making 57 before being undone by a really smart leg side stumping by Gareth McKeegan.

That seemed to spur the visitors on and despite a battling 36 from Bob Robinson the bowlers remained on top as Stephen Smyth and Craig Averill's poor run of form continued.

Rodney Pearson and Jason Lynch landed a few lofty blows between them at the death but Trevor Britton with 3 for 20, Johnny Thompson (3 for 48) and Mark Simpson (2 for 47) left Brigade needing 174 on Wednesday evening to join Donemana and Limavady at the top of the Billy Henderson Properties table.
