Limavady joined Brigade at the top of NW Senior One when they completed a 7 wicket win over relegation threatened Eglinton last night.
Resuming on 76 for 2 in pursuit of 207 for the win, they lost Mark McDaid early for 53, but that was to be the only success for Eglinton, as an unbroken 4th wicket stand of 120 between Stuart Thompson and Richard McDaid saw the Roesiders coast to victory with 8 overs remaining.
Thompson scored 61 not out and McDaid 49 not out.
The win leaves both Limavady and Brigade on 22 points, with Limavady a crucial game in hand as the season enters the final stages. Eglinton stay bottom with Bonds Glen on just 4 points - the sides are due to meet this weekend in what could be a decisive encounter.
Donemana are third on 18 points, while defending champions Strabane have 16 points with a game in hand.
In Senior Two, Drummond scored 125 for 9 in their Twenty 20 clash with leaders Creevedonnell. Craig Hartin top scored with an unbeaten 48, while Curtis Cooke made 31. Brian Dougherty was the best of the Creevedonnell attack, taking 3 for 19. Action resumes tonight at 6:30 pm.
Meanwhile Boyd Rankin has been called into the England A (Lions) side to play Sri Lanka A today. Rankin replaces Steve Finn who has been called into the senior England side due to an injury to Chris Tremlett. Rankin will still be eligible to play for Ireland as only full senior appearances rules him out of representing Ireland.
