Creevedonnell moved two points clear at the top of Division 2 on Tuesday evening after recording an impressive 7-wicket win over fellow challengers Drummond in a T20 contest.
The visitors batted on Monday evening and 48 not out from Craig Hartin and 31 from Curtis Cooke had helped them post a competitive 125 for 9 in their innings with Brian Dougherty claiming 3 for 19 for the hosts.
It's a busy time ahead for Creevedonnell as they have the Sammy Jeffrey and Sperrin Springs finals to look forward to over the next couple of weekends but it seems as though they're hoping for a crack at Division 1 next season as well.
They wasted little time in setting off after the target here as Myles Neely hit 47 and Alan Duddy 34 and the Curryfree Road side had a full four overs to spare as well when the winning runs were scored. Stephen Scroggie will know that plenty of work remains to be done before they can start thinking about the title but he will be delighted that the matter is now very firmly in their own hands.
