Bonds Glen won the big relegation battle on Sunday when they made light of what looked a challenging Eglinton total of 186 - Johnny Gardiner making a valiant late order 49, after it looked like Eglinton would only post 130.

Sri Lankan professional Gihan Dilruk hit 8 fours and 4 sixes in an 81 ball score of 94, before perishing on the boundary attempting to hit a six to bring up his hundred.

By that stage victory was almost assured, and from 172 for 2, although they lost four further wickets, the result was never really in doubt. Richard Hepburn with 40 batted superbly in conjunction with Dilruk.

Eglinton will reflect on missed opportunities, but now have three games left to save themselves from the dreaded drop.

At this stage their best chance may well come in their re-arranged game with Strabane, who will have several key personnel missing at the end of the season.

Donemana's title ambitions took a serious jolt when they lost to Bready by six wickets - a reverse of Saturday's outcome.

Kamran Sajid hit 94 in their total of 195 for 9, but half centuries from Brian Crumley (50), and Steven Clarke (61), saw Bready cruise to the win - Agha Sabir Ali finished on 41 not out.

The other game in the league had a distinctly end of season feel about it - especially in the visitors camp, who fielded a number of fringe players.

Strabane took advantage with half centuries for Kevin Martin (83), Peter Gillespie (59) and Jonathon Beukes (53) as they racked up 273 for 8 in their 45 overs.

Tommy Barr then picked up 5 for 14 as the visitors went into free fall from 93 for 3 to end up on 114 all out.
