After a period in the doldrums, a Gordon Cooke inspired Drummond managed a second place finish in the Senior Two title race, just two points behind eventual winners Creevedonnell.
Cooke was far and away the stand out performer in their ranks with both bat and ball, topping their averages convincingly. The former Irish all-rounder scored 640 runs at an impressive 58.18, and also collected 30 wickets at 10.67 to complete a fine season.
However, there was an alarming lack of support for Cooke, with the lack of depth at the club all too evident - a common affliction among the Senior Two ranks.
Stevie Moore was the only player to reach the qualification mark in the batting with 316 runs at 21.06, with other contributors of note being Craig Hartin (230 runs at 23), Michael Lynch (258 runs at 18.43) and Philip Moon (254 at 18.14).
In the bowling stakes, Moore weighed in with 21 wickets at 14.57, while Grame Anderson proved pretty consistent throughout their championship run, taking 26 wickets at 17.85.
Others who chipped in were Damien Carlin (15 wkts at 18.60) and Craig Hartin (13 at 23.540.
Drummond will be pretty satisfied with their season's efforts, but they will have to add to their threadbare squad if they are to have any realistic hopes of capturing silverware in 2012.
