SALTIRES star Richie Berrington has been named as Greenock’s new coach.
All-rounder Berrington, who last year turned down a move to Leicestershire, replaces Tony Judd at the helm and will continue to play for the Glenpark club.
A club spokesman said: “The experience Richie has gained as an extremely important member of the Scottish Saltires should stand him in good stead for this important position.”
Greenock have also announced the signing of South African Mpho Sekhoto as professional.
The 30 year-old Easterns batsman will join Berrington in spearheading Greenock’s Western Premier Division campaign.
