2012 sees Terenure CC back in the top Division of Leinster cricket for the first time since 2005.

Terenure's Brian Dalton told CricketEurope of their expectations for the 2012 season: "Ken McDonald has taken over the reigns as captain and hopes the blend of home-grown youth (Michael & Danny Hogan, Tom Lynch, Benn & Mike  Hoey, Donal & Diarmuid Lynch ) and experience (Andre Botha, Ken Brennan, Colm Morgan , John Hoey, Nathan Carroll ) that won the Division 2 title in 2011 will help the club establish itself in Division 1.

The addition of the experienced Dan Van Zyl to the squad strengthens both the batting and bowling departments, and it is hoped new club professional Zander Van der Merwe will be as successful as former professional Jason Kleyweg, who unfortunately could not return in 2012 due to injury.

Ken will be ably assisted by Brian Buttimer who, very importantly for the clubs development, has agreed to remain as 1st team coach in 2012."
