The weather decimated the scheduled Bank Holiday senior programme, with the sole game to reach a finish being Old Belvedere's win against Rush in Senior Two.

Zaidi's 57 helping the hosts total 186, with Alan Butterly claiming 3 for 34. That proved 44 too many for Rush, who were 128 all out chasing a revised target of 172 in 39 overs.

At Rathmines, Phoenix had made 234-7 in 47.5 overs before a deluge brought the game to a halt. Ali (64) and Conor Kelly (60) the main contributors.

In the other Senior Two games, Dublin University had George Dockrell in their ranks as well as Matt Dennington for the trip to Pembroke, but both were left kicking their heels as the rain won the day despite the best efforts of the ground staff.

The Cork County v Malahide game had been called off on Monday morning with no prospect of play.

Senior One fared even worse than Senior Two, with Railway Union v Merrion, North County v Terenure, and YMCA v Leinster all abandoned without a ball bowled.

Clontarf and The Hills did get on the field at Castle Avenue, but with the visitors on 7-2, the rains came to leave Clontarf still searching their first win of the campaign.
