Strabane's title aspirations have been thrown into possible chaos with the news that Faisal Iqbal has been named in a Pakistan Test squad to play Sri Lanka.

The Tyrone side, currently joint top of the Senior One table, look certain to be without Iqbal for at least a month, with the three Test Series scheduled between June 22 and July 12.

Iqbal has been in prolific early season form for Strabane, scoring unbeaten half centuries in their league wins against Bonds Glen and Limavady.

His departure couldn't come at a worse time with the mid-June/early July period traditionally the busiest in the domestic cricket calendar.

Strabane and the player are awaiting official confirmation of the call up from the PCB.
