The Scotland Lions and MCC squads have been announced for a three-day match starting Wednesday (20-22 June) at Cambusdoon, Ayr.

The Lions feature the majority of the Cricket Scotland contracted players, along with several players looking to establish their place in the national team.

Ewan Chalmers, Ryan Flannigan, Calvin Burnett and Moneeb Iqbal will be looking to push their case for more international honours after featuring for the Development XI against Ireland A last week.

Richie Berrington’s dislocated finger has recovered sufficiently after the Saltires recent trip to Hampshire and Jan Stander has received a call up after impressing in domestic cricket.

There will be a few familiar faces featuring for the MCC, former Scotland captains, Craig Wright and Ryan Watson with Sanjay Patel and Toby Bailey all included in the touring side.

The Lions will travel south the following week to take on Lancashire at Chester Boughton Hall CC, starting next Tuesday (26-28 June).

Both the MCC and Lancashire will pose tough tests for the Lions, before the selectors attention turns to Scotland’s important matches against Canada in the Intercontinental Cup and World Cricket League fixtures in early July.
