Ardmore recorded a very welcome league win on Sunday when they travelled to Sion Mills and came away with an impressive 148-run verdict.

Having posted just one win all season the Bleachgreen men were keen to put some daylight between themselves and Killyclooney at the bottom and Adrian Murphy saw to it that they did.

The West Indian made an unbeaten 132 and was given solid support from Phil Patterson (31) and Ciaran Curley (25 not out) in a 40-over total of 276 for 5.

Sion's batting wasn't able to hold up as well as it has of late as Lee Brolly (5-35) and Paul Brolly (3-27) dominated the reply although Adam Long followed up his century at Killyclooney on Saturday with a top score 40 in their 128 all out.

At Sion Mills, Ardmore 276-5-40 (A Murphy 132*, P Patterson 31, C Curley 25*) beat Sion 128-10-27.1 (A Long 40, L Brolly 5-35, P Brolly 3-27) by 148 runs.
