YMCA cruised to a 9 wicket win in the Alan Murray Cup final after dismissing Rush for a below par 120 in Phoneix Park,
Shahid Iqbal (46) and Lionel Jansen (21) were the only players to master the YM attack in which Simmi Singh (2-12) and Ali (3-16) excelled. Sameer Dutt and Reinhardt Strydom were the other wicket takers.
In reply Strydom got YM off to a flyer as he smashed 3 sixes and 2 fours in an 18 ball 31.
Trent Johnston and Simmi Singh then added an unbroken 85 for the second wicket as the win was secured with 5.3 overs to spare.
Johsnton hit 4 sixes and 3 fours in his 54 not out, while Singh hit five boundaries in his 34 not out which when combined with his earlier bowling effort was enough to gain him the Man of the Match accolade.

Rush 120 all out (19.4 overs, Shahid Iqbal 46, L Jansen 21, Y Ali 3-16, Simmi Singh 2-12) lost to YMCA 121/1 (14.3 overs, T Johnston 54*, Simmi Singh 34*, R Strydom 31) by 9 wickets.
