RUN hungry Richie Berrington produced the starring role as Scotland finally broke their tour duck in South Africa at the seventh attempt.
Stand-in skipper Berrington, who notched a century in last weeks three-day clash with the North West Dragons, stroked an unbeaten 75 to seal a six-wicket success against the same opponents in Potchefstroom.
Greenock batsman Berrington faced 88 balls and hit eight boundaries and two sixes.
He was given brilliant support by Calum MacLeod who hammered seven boundaries and one maximum in his 58 his first big score of the trip.
The pair helped the Saltires cruise to their target of 203 with more than seven overs to spare.
Earlier Ali Evans also produced his best display as the tourists dominated in the field.
The Derbyshire strike bowler claimed 3-38 during an aggressive stint of pace bowling.
He had good backing from Stoneywood-Dyce seamer Gordon Goudie who claimed two wickets.
Their efforts combined to restrict the hosts to 202-9 despite a battling 41 from teenager Wihan Lubbe.
Coach Pete Steindl declared: It was definitely our most complete performance since we arrived here.
The guys have worked hard but we werent ruthless enough when we got into a good position against the same opponents on Tuesday.
Today we responded in the right way the bowlers never relented with the ball and the batsmen made no mistake either.
Its great to finish a game off with plenty of overs and wickets in hand.
Scotland face the Dragons again tomorrow (Fri) this time in a T20 fixture.
