SALTIRES chiefs have launched a worldwide search for a high-profile professional to spearhead their final CB40 campaign.
The Scots will end thirty years of almost continuous competition against county opposition in next summer’s tournament.
And they want a leading overseas player to help ensure they go out with a bang.
Cricket Scotland chief executive Roddy Smith: “It is certainly our hope to have a high calibre professional on board.
“We are still a fairly young team and it would be good to have an experienced overseas player to help out.”
The Saltires launch their CB40 campaign against holders Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl in May.
