Thomas Anders appealsThe domination of Leinster cricket at youth level is reflected in the composition of the various Irish youth squads announced today.

No fewer than 31 youngsters have been named out of 75 places available - a great indicator of the fantastic coaching being carried out throughout the region.

This is particularly evident at Under 15 and 13 level where Leinster players account for an amazing 19 places in the squads.

There are five LCU named in the Under 19 ranks, with Thomas Anders of Phoenix, joined by YMCA wicket-keeper Lee Cole, fast bowling prospect Peter Chase - who is still attracting serious interest from counties in England - and the Merrion pairing of Patrick Tice and Tyrone Kane, who were both part of the Ireland Under 19 World Cup squad which played last season in Australia.

There are 3 players from Pembroke included in the Under 17 ranks with Jack Balbirnie looking to follow in the footsteps of elder brother Andrew, Boomtown Rat offspring Sonny Cott, and Lorcan Tucker. Gareth Delany from Leinster is named along with Michael Hogan from Terenure, David Murphy from Laois and Jack Tector from YMCA.

There are 10 LCU players in the Under 15 squad, with the Delany twins (Andrew and David) being joined by Colin Currie to make it a Clontarf triumvirate. Phoenix also have three, with Rory Anders, Sim Singh and Marc Gibson McKenna. The others are Terenure's Daniel Hogan, Conor O'Gorman from Leinster, Pembroke starlet Fiachra Tucker and the highly rated Cameron Shoebridge from Malahide.

The Under 13 squad sees Ian Anders from Phoenix, alongside Thurles youngster Aaron Crawley, and the Pembroke pairing of JJ Garth and Josh Little. Harry Tector and Rory McGovern make it from YMCA, while the others are Max Neville from Merrion, Matthew O'Meara from North Kildare and Aaron O'Neill of Terenure.

On the coaching front, Brian O'Rourke takes over a coaching/manager role at Under 19 level, while Stephen Moreton is involved in a similar role for the Under 15 squad.
