Charlie JohnstonThe apple doesn't fall far from the tree as far as cricket is concerned, with no fewer than four sons of Irish internationals being named in the Leinster Under 11 training squad.

The offspring of Trent Johnston, Deryck Vincent, Peter O'Reilly and Conor Hoey have all been named this week for coaching sessions at North County, King's Hospital School and St Columba's College.

There will be ten sessions in total starting on February 1st as the boys attempt to gain selection for the Leinster Under 11 team this summer.

9 year old Charlie Johnston showed his cricketing prowess at an early age, and the picture on the right shows him batting at Stormont six years ago!

Johnston has proven a real handful for Leinster batsmen taking two hat-tricks already despite his tender years.

His father is of course one of only three players to have taken a hat-trick for Ireland at senior level.
