Ryan ButterworthTerenure Cricket Club are pleased to announce that they have secured Ryan Butterworth as their Overseas Professional for the 2013 season with the assistance of CricX.

From Harare, Butterworth made his first-class debut in 2000-01, when he was one of the leading students at the CFX Academy and the only one to score a century in the Logan Cup that season.

He joined the exodus of players who fled Zimbabwe in 2005, and embarked on a career playing league cricket in the UK.

He has since played much of the past decade for teams including Cannock (Birmingham and Districts League), Clacton (East Anglia Premier League), Olton and West Warwickshire (Warwickshire Premier League), Bradninch (Devon League), Whitehaven (North Lancs and Cumbria League), Eglinton (North West Cricket Union) and most recently Northern Cricket Union champions for 2012 CIYMS.

John Hoey, Terenure First Team Manager is particularly pleased with the signing 'Ryan has proven himself as a high quality player both domestically and in the UK & Ireland. This playing quality aligned to his coaching experience and qualifications make him an ideal addition in support of our expansion plans for 2013 and beyond'.
