The strength of Clontarf youth cricket evidenced by the fact that no fewer than seven of their players have been named in the Leinster Under 13 Development squad.

Another promising prospect is 12 year old wicket-keeper Neil Rock who hails from Rush, while all-rounder Ian Anders is the latest from the prodigiously talented family.

Keeping the recent theme of international offspring, JJ Garth is included - he is highly rated by the Leinster coaching staff, being a very talented leg spinner and batsman.

The winter coaching sessions are currently being held at North County Cricket Club, with nine sessions scheduled between now and Easter.

These sessions are designed to give the youngsters an ample opportunity to further develop their skills and to try to gain selection onto the Leinster Under 13�s squad.

As well as playing in this year�s interprovincial series, the squad will look to defend the title that was famously won at King�s College, Taunton last August.
