Following a recent query on the Readers Forum about partnerships between family members, we've unearthed details of a possible record involving the father and son combination of Rodney and Jason Molins.

The pair shared a 3rd wicket partnership of 221 back in September 1999 while playing for Railway Union against North County.

Former Irish captain Jason Molins, and his father Rodney shared the stand which helped Railway Union secure promotion to the top flight of Leinster cricket.

The stand of 221 was confirmed at the time as a record for a father and son combination in Leinster cricket, and quite possibly even Irish or indeed world cricket!

Unless of course, you know different!
