In support of its 3-year development plan, Terenure CC is delighted to announce the appointment of Ted Williamson as its Director of Cricket.

As an ECB Level 3 coach, Williamson's focus will be on the development of cricket across all teams at Terenure, both senior and under-age. He will join the coaching team working alongside Richard Lawrence who has recently re-joined the club as Youth Development Officer.

Terenure is a club with a strong and proud heritage, said the 41-year-old, who is also Head Coach to the Ireland Under 17 squad.

And most importantly, I'm enthused by the club's investment in its long-term success with a clearly defined youth development policy. I'm looking forward to joining up with the teams as they prepare for the 2013 season, he added.

Terenure CC First Team Manager John Hoey said: This is a very exciting development for our club as we look to strengthen our position at the centre of Leinster cricket. Ted will bring a wealth of expertise and experience which will benefit our development at all levels.

In addition to his responsibilities at Terenure, Ted will continue to work with Harlequins to ensure their recent development and success is maintained in all areas.
