Railway Union confirm the return of player/coach Pat Collins for 2013.
Railway Union have confirmed that Pat Collins will return to Park Avenue for a third season.
Pat was one of the most consistent performers last year in Leinster Division 1 where he was one of the top all-rounders and he has continued that form this winter playing for Wests in the top level Brisbane competition where he has been a prolific run scorer.
Off the pitch Collins will again be the Head Coach under whose watchful eye and hard working arm the youth academy, men's and women's squads are continuing to progress.
Collins will also play a big part in the club's community programme of developing cricket in the local schools of Sandymount, Ringsend, Booterstown and futher afield, in particular Star of the Sea BNS and Scoil Mhuire Lakelands GNS.
Pat Collins is Irish qualified and has ambitions of representing Leinster in the relaunched Interprovincial series.
In addition to Collins returning, Railway can confirm the signing of Sharukh Shakur Ahmed and Abu Baker both formerly of Old Belvedere who will be great additions to the first team squad for 2013.
The Railway squad have been training hard over the winter and are looking forward to the upcoming season under captain and Irish cricket legend Kevin O'Brien.
Railway will continue to offer young players opportunities to play at a high level and to improve their performance through a strong training ethic and consistent coaching.
