Former Irish international Andre Botha rolled back the years as he smashed 166 as Clontarf made light of Phoenix in their delayed Leinster Senior Cup clash.

Botha struck 26 fours as he made 166 from 151 balls to help Clontarf amass 333 for 7 in their 60 overs.

Botha shared significant partnerships of 87 with Dom Rigby (34) and 167 with Amin Anwar (61) to bat Phoenix out of contention.

Only Rory Anders (2-33) was able to exert any pressure on Clontarf.

In reply the Phoenix batting disintegrated with only Conor Kelly saving them from absolute humiliation. Kelly made an unbeaten 94 from 90 balls (7 fours, 3 sixes) as Phoenix managed just 165.

The other ten batsmen managed just 48 between them, with 23 extras being the next highest contribution to their total.

Zander van der Merwe with 3 for 24 was the pick of the Castle Avenue attack.

Clontarf now face The Hills in the quarter final on June 15th.
