Merrion are the new leaders of the Leinster League Division One after their rain-interrupted victory over Railway Union at Anglesea Road and leaders The Hills' shock first defeat of the season.
The Hills lost by five wickets to North County who chased down their target of 226 with 20 balls to spare, opener Tomas Sheil finishing 77 not out.
Merrion have the slenderest of leads after the Railway innings was cut short after 34 overs with the visitors some 54 runs short of the Duckworth/Lewis par total.
Conor Kelly scored a century for Phoenix but it wasn't enough to prevent a five wickets loss to Pembroke as Theo Lawson scored 88 not out and Leinster fell further behind at the bottom as they lost their fifth successive match to YMCA by seven wickets.
