Three wickets apiece for Adam Craig and Alex O'Brien secured a 39 run win for the Leinster Development team in Durham, their second on the tour of the North East.

Defending what looked a par total of 211, Clontarf paceman Craig added to his growing reputation by claiming 3 for 35 as the Northern Universities were dismissed for 172.

Merrion leg-spinner Alex O'Brien, highly rated by Ireland National Coach Phil Simmons, was also among the wickets taking 3 for 26 as the Students were dismissed 39 runs short.

Lee Henderson with 66 was the only NU batsmen to cope with the versatile Leinster attack.

Will Street (3-25) and Max Bailey (2-25) had the Leinster side in trouble early on, but their depth served them well as Aaron Bailey (35), Thomas Anders (32) and Jack Tector (22) combined to get them past the psychologically important 200 mark.
