Eddie Richardson has been a regular on the Leinster Team of the Week and yet again the North County youngster makes another appearance.

The Ireland A and former Under 19 international has benefitted greatly from being awarded a full-time contract with Leinster Lightning and the improvement in his all-roind game is clearly evident.

Richardson was a shoo-in for the judging panel following his 6 for 24 and unbetaen 34 as North County completed another comfortable win over Railway Union at the weekend.

His Balrothery team-mate Conor Armstrong has had a quiet campaign by his high standards, but impressed the judging panel with his half century.

YMCA look to have trophy credentials this season and they gained a massive win over a somewhat under-strength Hills on Saturday.

Albert van der Merwe has moved up into the opener slot vacated by the injury to Reinhardt Strydom. and Simi Singh got their match off to the perfect start when he dismissed the prolific Nic Pretorius with the first ball. Robbie Garth makes it a YMCA hat-trick of selections.

Merrion were another side under strength, without the services of the injured John Anderson and Dom Joyce, while Ben Ackland had a family engagement. Johnny Blakeney's half century was the one bright note for their batting and was enough for him to make the side.

He's not the only Merrion representative to make the team though, as the Angelsea Road second string had a convincing win against Balbriggan and the judges added record breaking Isobel Joyce - the first woman to score a senior two half century - and Nicky Kenny to the starting eleven.

The Pembroke pairing of Allan Eastwood and Brenton McDonald are both included. Eastwood, an Irish international just two years ago has fallen out of favour with both the national and inter-pro selectors, and this display will hopefully put him back on the radar.

Tom Fisher is another who appears to have fallen off the page of selections since his move down a division, but yet gain he was among the runs as he made 81 as Terenure chased down a potentially tricky target against the Leinster Second XI.

Craig Mallon's half century wasn't enough to get him into the starting XI, but he makes the 12th man slot.
