Cricket Leinster coaching staff are holding two coaching clinics for Midland and South East Cricket Clubs on Monday, 15th July in Laois CC and Tuesday, 16th July in North Kildare CC.

The clinics have a dual purpose:

To give young players from the Midland and South East clubs the chance to work with some of the provinces top coaches.

More importantly, they will give club coaches the opportunity to observe these coaches in action and to develop their own coaching skills and offer them innovative /fun training methods for subsequent use in the Midland & South East clubs.

There will be two sessions on each day. The morning sessions will run from 10.30 am to 12.45 pm and will be aimed at players under 12 years of age. The afternoon sessions will run from 1.45 pm to 4 pm and will be aimed at players over 12 years of age.

Coaches delivering sessions will include Kenny Carroll, Reinhardt Strydom, Amy Kenealy and Barry McCarthy.

It is hoped this can become a yearly event with Cricket Leinster offering assistance to the development efforts of clubs based outside of Dublin. Last March a Level 1 coaching course was delivered in Carlow and a series of Friday evening coaching clinics were set up last winter to cater for promising young cricketers who are based outside the city.

All cricket coaches in the area are invited to attend.
